Hello, nice to meet you!
Liz Miller Gershfeld is a Chicago-based creative technologist / producer and artist who specializes in directing AI-generated work with clarity and intent.
With over two decades of experience producing visual campaigns for major brands, Liz now focuses on generative tools—large language models, image generators, and video synthesis—as a new space for concept-driven, human-led work.
Her role as a Creative AI Technologist / Producer bridges traditional creative disciplines with emerging technologies. She brings a sharp eye, editorial rigor, and deep production knowledge to projects that explore what becomes possible when AI is treated not as automation—but as a medium for new kinds of expression.
Liz produces stills, short video pieces, films, essays, scripts, and interactive tools—often working in hybrid formats that reflect both her direction and the generative capacities of machine learning systems. Her practice is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and creative precision.
She works independently and in partnership with teams looking to explore AI’s potential through thoughtful, well-crafted creative work.
I live in Chicago with my husband and Louis the poodle (objectively the best). Our two sons are out in the world now, and I’m rooting for them from here.
I love biking, gardening and travel, hiking among big trees whenever I can, and eating great meals. I’m drawn to unusual visuals, productive tension, and ideas that resist conclusions.
I’m interested in how people interpret things—how we connect what we see, say, and feel. That throughline shows up in still images, short clips, scripted avatars, interactive tools—and projects that don’t fall into neat categories.
The work doesn’t always look like “writing,” but language is always at the center.
