My approach to Ethical AI

  • AI as a Tool, Not a Replacement

Artificial intelligence is not a substitute for human creativity, insight, or expertise. It is an amplifier, an extension of thought, a collaborator that brings new dimensions to what already exists. I engage with AI to enhance human ingenuity, not to replace it.

  • The Human in the Loop

AI is most powerful when guided by human intention. My work prioritizes critical thinking over reaction, ensuring that AI serves as a tool for exploration rather than automation of thought. Thoughtfulness is the discipline—choosing AI’s role deliberately rather than letting it dictate the process.

  • Awareness of Bias in AI

Training models are shaped by human knowledge, but also by human biases. Data is not neutral. I recognize that biases—both explicit and implicit—exist in AI-generated outputs. Responsible AI creation requires interrogation, revision, and ethical discernment to counteract these biases rather than perpetuate them.

  • Copyright, Ownership, and the Evolving Landscape

The intersection of AI and copyright is still unfolding. As an AI producer, I acknowledge the ethical complexities around authorship, fair use, and ownership of ideas. Transparency is foundational to my approach—acknowledging what AI builds upon rather than erasing its origins.

  • AI as an Amplifier of Human Collaboration

The best AI-driven work does not emerge in isolation. It thrives in collaboration—with artists, writers, thinkers, and technologists who guide its direction. AI should serve as a partner in the creative process, expanding possibilities rather than diminishing the role of human intuition and skill.

  • The Magic of AI: Seeing What Wasn’t There Before

Beyond efficiency, beyond automation, AI has a strange and compelling ability to surface patterns, generate unexpected juxtapositions, and bring forward what might not have otherwise been seen. The power lies not in AI ‘replacing’ anything but in its ability to reframe, remix, and suggest new directions. That magic—when channeled well—can lead to profound creative expansion.

  • Radical Transparency in AI Use

I do not disguise AI’s involvement in my work. Transparency is essential to trust and credibility. AI-generated contributions should not masquerade as purely human, nor should they be dismissed outright. Acknowledging the role AI plays allows for more honest discussions about its strengths, limitations, and potential.

  • Thinking Over Automation

Reactionary use of AI leads to shallow work. My practice prioritizes intentionality—asking why and how AI is used, rather than simply deploying it because it can be. The goal is to elevate creative thinking, not to flood the world with more content devoid of meaning.

  • AI as a Mirror and a Question

AI reflects human inputs, human histories, and human data. It does not dream, but it can reassemble and reveal. The challenge and responsibility lie in what we choose to see in that reflection—and how we use it to push our creative and intellectual boundaries further.

  • This Conversation Is Ongoing

AI is evolving. Ethics, technology, and creative applications will continue to shift. This manifesto is not static but a living document—one that will adapt as I learn, as AI progresses, and as the dialogue around its role deepens.
